The Lanzarote referee of the First Division Alejandro José Hernández Hernández has been promoted to the First category of UEFA, along with eleven other referees from all over Europe, as reported by the Las Palmas International Football Federation (FIFLP).

After this international promotion, the next challenge for the conejero referee will be to reach the highest category, called Elite, which includes twenty-seven referees.

The news of his promotion has been received with satisfaction by the Las Palmas Referees Technical Committee and the FIFLP, groups to which the island referee belongs and with which he collaborates periodically.

Alejandro Hernández has been an international referee since January 2014. Two years earlier (August 20, 2012) he made his debut in the First Division in the Real Zaragoza-Real Valladolid match (0-1).
