"The morbidity"

November 17 2021 (18:14 WET)

The trial for the macho murder of Laura Luelmo is being held.

Laura, who went for a run one afternoon like any other, assuming she lived in a country where reality could not surpass a Netflix horror series.

Laura's father has requested that the trial be held behind closed doors without public audience, precisely to avoid the morbid media coverage of the details of his daughter's murder.

And consequently, giving respect to Laura.

Details, which we well know that if they are given, would not be safe in this country where Laura was NOT safe.

Because in this country, integrity is not respected even when people are deceased.

Several television networks have criticized this decision, calling it a "media blackout."

They kill your daughter and you must expose the details to public trial.

They kill your daughter, and it is not enough with the pain you already live, but also, you must participate so that the media can feed on those details that have left your daughter in raw flesh and dare to tell you that you are promoting a "media blackout."

Can anyone put themselves in the shoes of a father who has had his daughter killed?

If you were Laura Luelmo, would you like everyone to know and murmur on every corner how you have been raped and how your life has been taken?

Would you like the way you were murdered to be the talk of every neighborhood in this country?

I would like to see all those who accuse of media blackout how they would react if the trial was of their own daughters.

Not everything is worth having a headline, a viral tweet, not everything is worth getting paid and making ends meet.

The problem is that it seems that in this morbid country everything is worth it in order to feed said morbidity.

And do you know why? Because in this country people are educated in eternal gossip, in the most absolute morbidity, and this education has led many people to live feeding on the misfortunes of others to feel a little better... in their pathetic lives.

If we really felt the murder of Laura Luelmo, we would not want to know the most gruesome details of how her life was being torn away.

From the skin.

Country!
