The exemplary prosecutor

This country is a tambourine, but it also has people who know how to dismantle the orchestra.

In this country there are guardians of the Law and the truth. They are the prosecutors who do their job well, whom we should put monuments to and treat like Kings. Yes, them. Because they truly represent what justice is.

In this country there are guilds such as healthcare or education where common sense and good work are praised and well regarded. You do your job well and it is recognized. However, there are other sectors where heroes wear robes but should not be too excellent or efficient, in case they end up with the "robe" around their necks.

That is the structure of a country where the entrails of the Public Administration have been corrupt for decades and, worse, where not stealing was the anomalous practice. I think that since I have been aware, I have heard the word corruption, opening and closing news programs. I come from an island whose surname is also corruption and even La Sexta labeled it as "Lanzarote. The Island of the 200 defendants."

Being a citizen of a corrupt country is sad, but being an anti-corruption prosecutor in a corrupt country must be terrifying.

Imagine that you are passionate about your profession and obsessed with finding the truth. But... you realize that there is something superior to the Constitution, the Laws and Justice itself. That something is the System. That System has been the law for years, and obviously a Law that has nothing to do with equality.

There is a man who has a reputation for pulling the most dusty and comfortable blankets in this country, concisely and precisely, he has been asking uncomfortable questions for years that go directly to the entrails of the System. Those rotten blankets of well-being for a few that many end up paying for, those blankets that cover all the de facto powers of a posturing State disguised as democratic.

There are prosecutors in this country who are in charge of looking for those who cover the Spanish Constitution with Chinese flags. And they understand the Law as passing it through the lining.

That comfort of the System of a country whose second surname is corruption, is bothered by the prosecutors. Those who try to Stampar as they can.

And it's sad. Because prosecutors are the ones who maintain the balance of Justice. They are the balance of the goddess, in a country of Kings and princes for Corina.

Two things come to mind: First, the work of prosecutor Stampa in Lanzarote.

I am sure that if César Manrique knew Ignacio, he would take him to play with the wind to encourage him to continue with his good streak and good work. He would invite him to look at the River so that he could find peace, but he would also warn him that the fire was not only in the mountains.

We, the people of Lanzarote, owe a lot to that man from Madrid and to Pamparacuatro. Because precisely they give continuity to the project that the activist César defended.

Thank you Ignacio, for going after the truth. For your perseverance and dedication to your work. I don't think they will give you a Princess of Asturias award, but I can assure you that for many you are the hero in robes who represents us.

Keep questioning with your methods, because although they have theirs, Truth and Justice with works like yours, sooner or later end up leaving the system without blankets. Until it freezes to death. From cold.
