This time, ecologists, young people voting for the first time, as well as various professional sectors and unions are showing a new or renewed interest in ANC. Many do not want more of the same and have decided to change for the better.
The inhabitants of this Archipelago have seen head-on a conflict, almost unexpected by them, but very strong, very shocking, as we have had to witness with the attitude of REPSOL and the Spanish Government.
Actually, Spanish colonialism has been a constant in the Canary Islands for more than 500 years. In specific moments it is visualized more and it is not usually as subtle as usual. Now many people have opened their eyes and have seen the need for an independentist and social option like the one represented by ANC. Our line defines the Canary Islands as a territory with the right to decide, with the right to its absolute Sovereignty and functioning as an independent Nation.
Not all parties can say that they arrive at these elections without any type of banking or financial commitment. Without prior dealings with power groups that condition their management. We do. Therefore, our commitment to do social politics will always remain firm, assuming from now on the need to build a society where gender equality prevails, as a fundamental basis for real progress.
In addition, we are going to reorient the economic management of the Government of the Canary Islands. Prioritizing the general interest, social investment and the interests of the working class, because we are part of it and we will not stop feeling like People even if we reach the institutions.
We are going to continue using our assembly forms. Educating the Canarian population in participation, from schools, so that the government of the Canary Islands emerges from the People to the institutions and the population is not mistreated by corrupt rulers, who act in obscurity and with interests very different from those of the citizens. Because we want to continue being transparent and respectful with majorities and minorities, with each person.
That is why I dare to appeal blatantly to the consciences and hearts of this Land, so that they bet on changing for the better. And so that they are capable of showing their hearts with the pride and dignity that no one, until now, has truly shown in Canarian politics. Because the ANC offer is dignified, honest, from the People and the only one here that will truly improve the Canary Islands.
