Against all odds, these weeks are going to be very different from what they had planned in Genoa 13. As usual, the main idea was to continue talking about that "invasion" from the African continent and the "betrayal" that the Spanish Government intends to carry out if pardons are finally granted to those convicted of the procés. All to overlap the good pace of vaccination, the economic recovery that is gradually taking place or the aid that both the central Government and the European Union allocate to each of the communities.
Suddenly, when the machine was already oiled, the ghosts of corruption return to the PP headquarters, although in my perception they never left. The indictment of Dolores de Cospedal in the Kitchen case has dislodged those who consider themselves the great defenders of Spain, or that is what they want to show with a new photo in the Plaza de Colón. Yes, those same people who tried to torpedo the negotiations to prevent the arrival of aid to our country, against their people, the ones they supposedly defend.
Despite missing more sense of State on the part of the opposition in such a difficult time for the country, the Government has continued working to overcome this crisis and help those groups and sectors that have had the worst time. From June 15, the self-employed, SMEs and Canary Islands companies will be able to apply for direct aid, provided by the central Government with an amount of 1,144 million euros.
With this contribution, the Government of the Canary Islands will try to alleviate the losses suffered by companies during this time. Recovering the economic fabric of the islands is the great objective that we set ourselves from the socialist ranks. They will continue to put obstacles, difficulties from the opposition so that no type of aid is approved or processed or good news is overlapped with smoke screens. First of all, go ahead!, because that is true patriotism, fighting to improve the lives of citizens. Let there be no doubt that this will continue to be the case from the Government or from the opposition.
