The Political report of the Popular Party, which will be approved at its Congress held in Madrid in the coming days, leaves no room for doubt. They believe that Spain's ills lie fundamentally in the collapse of real socialism, in the crisis of social democracy, and in the attempt to delegitimize the political adversary, thus frustrating the natural democratic alternation.
They also believe that the current socialist leaders saw in the pro-independence forces their only opportunity to access the Government, with the political transition and national cohesion being victims of this maneuver.
In short, they say every day from the lecterns of the Congress of Deputies and the Senate that, in order to access power, we socialists for the first time in democracy have paid an unacceptable price, agreeing to support formations that only defend the interests of one part, that work for the disintegration of Spain, or that have even been convicted of sedition; that is, the socialist communist, Bolivarian, secessionist, and terrorist Government. There is not a single political formation that has not been the object of their offenses; sorry - I lie - only one, Vox, which the "cowardly right," as Abascal defines it, gives some cosmetic touch when it suits them.
The aforementioned report continues to state that Spain needs to stop the imposition of nationalist minorities who, with few votes, condition key decisions for the country as a whole and also preach "more nation, less nationalism" because, according to the cited text, nationalism is born from supremacism and a selfish vision of the homeland, making their differences a flag that does not seek coexistence but privileges, claiming the exclusive right to decide on the destiny of the nation that they do not consider a shared legacy but a private property.
So far, what is stated in the report, and from which it can be inferred, therefore, that Junts, ERC, PNV, BNG, Coalición Canaria, and Compromís would participate within that definition, if we consider them all nationalist forces and, in some cases, pro-independence.
I am not going to go into past pacts between the Popular Party and nationalisms that are now labeled as mafia, secessionist, and terrorist; I only intend to convey to the militants, sympathizers, and voters of the PP the following rhetorical question for them to freely answer: If Junts, and the rest of the named forces, according to the qualification they make in their program, is a nationalist and pro-independence force that seeks the disintegration of Spain, imposing its few votes to condition the key decisions for the country as a whole, what plausible explanation can there be for the fact that its president orders to call them to proceed to sign a motion of censure against the current Government, promoting a photo that would remain for the historical record of seeing the PP, VOX, Junts, PNV, Coalición Canaria, BNG, or Compromis at the same table, signing a government program and promoting Mr. Alberto Núñez Feijóo as a candidate for the presidency?
Obviously, I do not know their possible answers, but allow me to respectfully convey mine: the only possible explanation is that you have a true crack of politics as president.
