Silence, mutism, complicity, are some of the words that describe the attitude of the Arrecife Government with the current regional accounts. And it is that the regional budget for 2017 blatantly mistreats the third capital of the Canary Islands; a capital that is thirsty for employment and lacking investment. There is much to do and little desire to relaunch our city that the Government group formed by PSOE, CC and PIL has.
The list of shortcomings and needs of Arrecife is increasing, as is the nerve of the PSOE and CC who have not been able, one more year, to reflect in the budgets for next year the solutions demanded by the people of Arrecife. The old man who asks for his residence; the young entrepreneur who asks for incentives to create his company; the neighbor of Argana Alta who asks for his Health Center; the parents of Maneje who ask for the I.E.S that they had promised; the child who asks for a park in conditions where to play... Many. Many are the demands that accumulate to the current Government and few, very few, the desire to solve the daily problems of the neighbors.
A clear example of the neglect and apathy that characterizes the municipal government from minute one is found in La Fermina street, in Titerroy, with the asphalt biscuited; or in Calle Tenderete, in Argana Alta, full of potholes as if it were a minefield; or in Padre Claret, in Altavista, which is still without lighting; or in Argana Alta without a Health Center and with a closed Sports Pavilion; or in Maneje where they cry out for the park that cost them so much to achieve to be kept clean and in good condition; or Valterra and Titerroy who have been demanding for years that their homes be rehabilitated and put an end to the agony of many families...
This is just a part of the harsh and sad reality that Arrecife is experiencing today. A reality to which the Government of the Canary Islands turns its back and to which CC and the PSOE in Lanzarote turn their heads.
We have lost a new opportunity to position Arrecife in the place that corresponds to it for not raising our voices, for not saying enough is enough!, for not standing at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Government of the Canary Islands and claiming what truly corresponds to us, but it seems that political colors weigh more than the needs of our people.
Arrecife does not deserve a conformist government group in the face of the excesses of the Government of the Canary Islands. We must be critical and raise our voices, we must demand what corresponds to us, what we deserve. We must shout a real enough is enough!, far from charades and theaters orchestrated for the good of the partisan.
