“An inferiority complex of Dolores Corujo”, and other pearls of Elena Solís (I)

August 10 2022 (11:04 WEST)

Recently, we have heard and read from the former Minister of the Environment of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Elena Solís, that "what there really is is an inferiority complex of the president who is not capable of being there by herself, and in the face of anyone who casts the slightest shadow on her, she gets very nervous."

If these words had been uttered by the person who subscribes, she would have been immediately accused of being a misogynist, sexist and thug by the president's quick press office. But it has been a well-educated, autonomous woman, not suspected of machismo, who has done it. None other than a former councilor of Dolores Corujo, the "prestigious jurist and environmental activist, Elena Solís," as she was grandiloquently presented by the PSOE and PODEMOS, when they formed a government and appointed her with the sole objective, ultimately demonstrated, of using her name and her prestige in favor of their permanent campaign of sustainability and false defense of the territory, to defend only their seats from a minority government propped up by a defector from CC-PNC.

But these are not the only truths that Elena Solís has revealed about the government of which she was a part, and although in truth she has not said anything that everyone in the Cabildo does not know, it is no less true that no one from within had verbalized it so clearly.

Corujo calculated very well to order PODEMOS to ask for her dismissal in August because there is less media attention, so here is the first chapter of some of the pearls that the former councilor has left us about "the sewers" of this government, a term so much to the liking of the political progressive opposition today installed in the government.

Elena Solís on the reasons for her dismissal and who really runs the Cabildo.

The former councilor affirms that "there has been continuous pressure from the president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, and the head of cabinet, Carlos Espino, for PODEMOS to get rid of her", contrary to what was stated by Corujo, who has publicly shown herself to be completely unaware of that decision.

-“This has been precipitated by Loly Corujo and Carlos Espino, who have been continuously trying to dismiss me.”

-“Carlos Espino, who is the one who cuts the cod.” “Espino would enter his office and give orders to workers in the area.” “There is no doubt about it. He is the boss in the Cabildo.”

-“A faction of PODEMOS has succumbed to the pressures of Loly Corujo and Carlos Espino who, of course, is the one who runs the Cabildo.”

-“It is very difficult to confront Carlos Espino. He is an old fox and it is very difficult.”

-“I was not going to allow a man like Carlos Espino to enter my office, enter my department and be there as if he owned the place, ordering the civil servants around.”

Corujo, who seems to feel entitled to do so, publicly treated Solís as a sexist for revealing how much of a puppet she is of Espino and who runs the institution –as all the staff of the corporation knows–, but she did not hesitate in a plenary session to blurt out to my general secretary and number one of the party, Migdalia Machín, that in Coalición Canaria "whoever is in charge is not her, but the alpha males", in a display of her usual hypocrisy capable of despising the men of CC and their women alike.

-“I have never had the opportunity to speak with Loli Corujo and she has always used other ways of communicating with me.”

-“On Monday at one in the afternoon Myriam Barros and Jorge Peña asked me for a meeting in which I was told that Dolores Corujo had given the councilors an ultimatum that either PODEMOS dismissed me, or she would dismiss me.”

-“Myriam Barros, the night before my dismissal, had written to the president presenting my resignation, which of course, was designed by the PSOE apparatus.”

These are just some of the pearls that Elena Solís has uncovered about the real reasons for her dismissal and who is the hand that really rocks Dolores Corujo's cradle. The one that causes so much pain and humiliation and that is moved by such dark interests.

Some believe that the president has played the game perfectly by getting PODEMOS to formally request Solís' dismissal. I disagree, if few believe her and people know that she lies blatantly, the lie will never be a perfect play, president.
