The neighborhood association of Titerroy denounces that in the streets there are "cars in total state of abandonment for more than a year." The neighbors claim to have reported the situation to the Local Police and explain that "no measures have been taken from the City Council."
"How is it possible that the mayoress of Arrecife publicly says that every month they are removing an average of twenty abandoned cars from the streets, if the neighbors have been reporting their state of abandonment for more than a year?" ask the inhabitants of Titerroy.
From the neighborhood association they point out that "they thought that after the tender for the service of removal and scrapping of abandoned cars the situation was going to improve. But it is not like that. The company has supposedly been with the service of removal of abandoned vehicles for a year, carrying out the decontamination and scrapping, as well as the removal of tires from public roads and their treatment. But the correct environmental management is not being guaranteed of the waste in the capital, and of the abandoned cars in this case."
"All they do is put a sticker on which it is warned that the vehicle is being investigated for abandonment. The next day said sticker disappears as if by magic, months pass and nobody does absolutely anything," denounce the neighbors of the neighborhood.
From the neighborhood group they will request to the Unit of Infractions and Sanctions, "who is the person responsible for supervising the awarded company", as well as an "inventory of the vehicles removed from the roads of the Titerroy neighborhood", they conclude.
