The Yaiza City Council has announced that it will make three more vehicles available to the Local Police when it resolves the tender budgeted at 1.3 million euros, which aims to provide a total of 25 municipal vehicles, including a basic life support ambulance and a boat for maritime rescue and salvage intended for the services provided by the Yaiza Civil Protection Group.
The deadline for submitting offers expires on December 23 and the City Council highlights that these vehicles will be added to the two hybrid SUVs that were delivered last October to the police force and three patrol cars "that are about to hit the streets".
"This is how we continue to fulfill the commitment to improve citizen security and emergency care in the municipality by providing new technical resources to our Local Police and Civil Protection of Yaiza, two teams that work in coordination with other bodies on the Island to ensure the tranquility of our neighbors", said the mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda.
Like the Local Police patrol cars, the basic life support ambulance and the rescue and salvage boat, the latter between 8 and 9 meters in length with two outboard motors, must be delivered fully equipped and labeled as detailed in the technical specifications.
With this new public tender, Yaiza also intends to satisfy different needs of its vehicle fleet such as crane vehicles, concrete mixers, vans and backhoe, among others.
