The City Council presided over by Óscar Noda has put out to tender the cleaning of municipal dependencies for two years and a base amount of 919,000 euros for the provision of the service in cultural centers, public bathrooms, the Playa Blanca library and the municipal gymnasium, among other facilities, with the awarded company having to adjust to the frequencies and schedules established by the Administration for the cleaning of each center and exercise control of the personnel under its charge during the work time.
The service commits to maintaining the centers in optimal cleaning conditions, covering floors, pavements, baseboards, bathrooms, walls, ceilings, patios and glass. Companies interested in submitting offers can do so until Monday, February 24, 2025.
The awarded company will also be obliged to carry out the opening and closing of the following facilities: bathrooms of the Playa Blanca town court, bathrooms of the Uga Picnic Area, bathrooms of the La Alameda de Yaiza Plaza, public bathrooms of the Playa Blanca center and bathrooms of the sports courts of El Aulagar and San Marcial de Rubicón de Playa Blanca.
The councilor responsible for the maintenance of public buildings, Rubén Arca, points out that "our objective is to optimize the service so that municipal personnel and citizens have facilities in the best conditions of cleanliness and hygiene." Within the obligations of the contract, the cleaning of the Municipal Office of Playa Blanca, the Uga Camel Interpretation Center, the Local Police barracks and the bathrooms of the Bus Station is also planned.
