The Yaiza City Council paid last Friday a total of 40,800 euros to twelve clubs and entities associated with the Municipal Sports Initiation Schools, a program that promotes the training and competition of boys, girls and young people in different individual and collective sports. The objective is to promote physical exercise, healthy habits and the transmission of values through the regular development of sports activities.
This income corresponds to the second and last payment of the 2024 - 2025 season, thus, Yaiza keeps its commitment to all the clubs that accompany the Administration in the task of promoting sports up to date. "We comply with all suppliers and with all our obligations, of course, also with sports, which is a pillar of municipal policy to which we dedicate the attention it deserves," says the mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda.
The City Council publishes on the municipal website the offer of Sports Schools for the 2025 - 2026 season, "where boys, girls and families can choose from about twenty individual and collective sports and thus perfect the technique and have fun practicing their favorite sport," emphasizes the Councilor for Sports, Ángel Lago.
Basketball, soccer, indoor soccer, handball, Canarian wrestling, tennis, table tennis, sailing, martial arts, skateboarding, skating, badminton, gymnastics, inclusive soccer and tennis and adapted swimming, are part of the southern sports catalog. Yaiza encourages mothers, fathers and guardians to consult the detailed information with numbers and contact emails of the clubs linked to the Sports Schools program, information available on the cover of www.yaiza.es.
