The protected landscape of La Geria experiences its great festival of recognition of the island's wine sector every August, around a lively two-day meeting attended by workers from the primary sector, winemakers and hundreds of tourists who parade on August 15 through Bodega La Geria to see up close the traditional grape harvest with camels starting at 10:30 in the morning.

The Yaiza City Council, through the Councilor for Festivities, Daniel Medina, encourages the people of Lanzarote to join this festivity that begins on Thursday, August 14 in the afternoon at Bodegas Rubicón, location of the Canarian stall with enyesque at 8:00 p.m. enlivened by the Sondemar and Janubio parrandas.

The celebration continues on Friday, August 15, Great Day of Charity, with morning and afternoon activities. At 10:00 a.m. there is mass in the hermitage of La Geria, at 10:30 the traditional grape harvest with camels begins in Bodega La Geria and its surroundings, enlivened by the Pal' Porrón parranda, and in the afternoon, at 7:00 p.m., there will be mass in the hermitage and a culmination with the traditional offering in the form of a touch and dance by the Rubicón Folklore Group of Yaiza.
