The municipal government presided over by Óscar Noda approved this Thursday in plenary session the incorporation of 400,000 euros more from treasury surpluses intended to cover works in the schools of Yaiza demanded by the southern educational community, some of which were already carried out during the summer period, others that are underway and new works projected to continue improving the set of public facilities.

Óscar Noda highlights the economic health of Yaiza, pointing out that “we maintain the investment pace with infrastructure works that our neighbors can verify. Educational centers are vital, we have invested in them and we will spare no effort, within our competencies, so that students, teachers, and administrative staff enjoy the facilities they deserve”.

In the recount of some of the actions in the centers of Yaiza, the councilor for Education, Silvia Santana, names the access ramp to improve accessibility between two buildings of the CEIP Playa Blanca, repair of the dining room ceiling of this same center affected by water leaks; integral reform of two bathrooms in the school of Las Breñas; shade area, wall work and new floors in the unitary school of Femés; construction of a space intended for the demand for a school canteen in Uga, improvements in the patio, construction of a warehouse and a new bathroom for teachers of this school; construction of a bathroom for young children in CEIP Yaiza and improvement of the entrance door of the center, among other works.

Apart from these actions, the mayor of Yaiza recalls that “the City Council improved safety in the access to CEIP Uga, building a pedestrian route and parking spaces in its surroundings”.
