Yaiza awards the Badge of Labor Merit to thirteen public employees

The ceremony recognized the dedication and responsibility of the employees, seven of whom are already retired, in various municipal areas

The mayor, Óscar Noda, presented the Badge of Labor Merit awarded by the City Council of the Historic City of Yaiza to thirteen public employees with service in various municipal areas, seven of them already retired and six active workers, all of them with more than 20 years of service.

Among the individuals recognized for their longest years of service are Adelina de Páiz Rodríguez, a draughtswoman from the Technical Office who has just retired, and Clotildo Martín Duarte, a director and folklore professor actively working at the Yaiza Municipal Music School. Both have served the municipality for 39 years.

At the solemn ceremony for the awarding of medals, held on November 25 at the Benito Pérez Armas House of Culture in Yaiza, the mayor praised "the dedication and commitment of the workers who for so many years have demonstrated their responsibility and vocation for public service, displaying their human values".

On behalf of those honored, Vicente Bencomo Izquierdo, a currently active public works technical engineer (35 years of service), spoke, thanking the municipal distinction by stating that "we receive it not only as recognition for the number of years of service, but for the work carried out throughout our careers in the Administration."The distinguished retired workers are Venancio Nieves García, Miguel Díaz Reyes, Fernando Marrero Feo, José Manuel Umpiérrez Morales, Juana de León Machín, María Rosa Viñoly Ascensión, and Adelina de Páiz Rodríguez, while those who remain active are Emilia Betancort Gopar, María del Pino Betancort Viñoly, Clotildo Martín Duarte, Juan Antonio Cedrés de la Cruz, Segundo de la Cruz Garcés, and Vicente Bencomo Izquierdo

The honored group was supported by councilors from the municipal Corporation, family members, and the affection of colleagues from the City Council.
