Yaiza refers to Costas, Government of the Canary Islands and the Cabildo the improvement project of El Golfo park

The City Council presided over by Óscar Noda sent this Tuesday to Costas del Estado, the Government of the Canary Islands, and the Cabildo of Lanzarote the technical project to carry out the conditioning of the playground in the coastal town of El Golfo so that each of the three administrations can examine the content of the municipal initiative and issue the relevant report or authorization within their competence in order to proceed with its execution.

The councilor for Parks and Gardens of Yaiza, Rubén Arca, announces that "the project, valued at 376,000 euros, is drafted to intervene in an area of 720 square meters, the same surface area where the current park is located. We have just repaired the existing games, but the park needs a comprehensive renovation with new and improved facilities."

Yaiza trusts in the approval of the three administrations to continue its plan of improvements and implementation of new children's play areas in El Golfo, a plan that is a benchmark in Lanzarote, to the point of winning a national award for the best inclusive green space project with the Femés Atrás park.

The actions to be carried out include new games in accordance with current standards, installation of shock-absorbing flooring, incorporation of children's play equipment, and perimeter fencing to ensure safety conditions.

"The intervention planned in El Golfo is adapted to the classification of the land and the environment, so we require and trust in the favorable reports from the administrations to undertake the conditioning," adds the mayor. The City Council sent the documentation to the Directorate General of Coasts and the Sea of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge; to the Directorate General of Coasts and Management of the Canary Maritime Space of the Government of the Canary Islands; and to the Department of Environment of the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
