The Public Works area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote announced this Monday the completion of the transformation works of the Sociocultural Center of Conil, in the municipality of Tías.
The vice president and head of Public Works, Jacobo Medina, recently visited the facility together with the mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, the head of Works, Ulpiano Calero, and the municipal deputy mayor, Nicolás Saavedra.
"We have carried out a transformation of the facility, undertaking reforms in carpentry, painting and waterproofing and the maintenance of the roofs, as well as the adaptation of the infrastructure to current regulations regarding accessibility," explains the councilor, Jacobo Medina.
During the visit, they were able to verify the renovation of the bathrooms and the creation of an adapted bathroom for people with reduced mobility, thus complying with the Technical Building Code, as well as the interventions in the bar of the sociocultural center. "We have conditioned the kitchen, with a new smoke extraction system and a comprehensive renovation of the electricity," explains Medina.
The Cabildo de Lanzarote allocated a total amount of 252,674.12 euros, through the Municipal Cooperation Plan of 2020 that the Island Corporation distributed to the municipality of San Bartolomé.
