The Vox councilors in the Arrecife City Council presented a motion to the council for the name of the mixed group, to which they are subscribed, to be changed to the mixed-VOX group. This was stated in a document revealed to the plenary session on January 11.
Councilors Eugenio Hernández Cabrera and Jorge Enrique Barrios Rodríguez presented this document to make the change, understanding that only Vox councilors form the mixed group and therefore, in their view, the name of the formation should appear.
According to the far-right party, this affects "political pluralism." Thus, they indicated that by not having their name appear in the presentation of interpellations, questions, or motions, the population cannot "visualize" who is the author of said initiatives or who to turn to in order to exercise their right to participate "through their elected representatives."
