Vox insists on declaring the construction of the Lanzarote Congress Palace of insular interest. This was announced by the political formation in a press release issued this Tuesday.
The Vox spokesperson in the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Óscar Pérez, calls himself "the only political force committed" to promoting this project. Thus, he insisted that "although the project has lost visibility in just three months", the far-right party "persists in its efforts".
From Vox they have insisted that "in this time", the project has gone from occupying headlines for the transfer of land "to leaving the political agenda and being excluded from the budget of the Government of the Canary Islands for 2024". Thus, he alludes to the "lack of specific allocation" as evidence of the "null interest and priority that has been given to it".
Likewise, the political party insists that despite the fact that the land has been ceded, "the urban planning blockage persists" and that the declaration of insular interest remains the same since 2019.
To conclude, he has reported that he will present a motion to declare this initiative of insular interest and "overcome the stagnation", giving Lanzarote the "economic and cultural boost it deserves".
