VOX reports that this Tuesday, in the industrial area of Playa Honda, the Civil Guard had to intervene to evict four migrants who had occupied an abandoned premises of a company located in this area. According to the party, those evicted "had an aggressive and intimidating attitude, carried baseball bats and insulted those present."
"VOX has already denounced the occupation in the C.C El Jablillo, in Teguise, by migrants and now the situation is being projected in San Bartolomé, and all this with the consequences of insecurity for the citizens," they explain.
According to statements from the party, "an urgent regulation of this situation is needed, the situation that exists on the island regarding the migratory problem cannot be allowed or normalized, but said regulation does not arrive because the other political parties do not want to execute what all citizens are requesting, which is ultimately security in their neighborhoods."
However, the adult migrants who arrive in Lanzarote irregularly do not stay on the island, but are transferred to other islands in 24 or 48 hours.
"We are an island that welcomes those who arrive and integrate, but we must put a stop to the current situation that is causing the massive arrival of cayucos with hundreds of people on board," they conclude.
