Two out of three Canary Islanders, 67.9%, would like the president of the archipelago to change in the next regional elections, although the most valued candidate is still Fernando Clavijo, according to a survey by the Center for Sociological Research (CIS).

The CIS has made public this Tuesday a wave of surveys on the opinion of Spaniards in the 17 autonomous communities on the political situation of the country and its region, as well as on the main problems that concern each territory.

According to its conclusions, 49.1% of those surveyed believe that the general situation in the Canary Islands is good or very good (compared to 42.6% who think otherwise), but those who perceive that it is worse than before the change of regional government in 2023 double those who understand that it has improved: 59.2% compared to 25.4%.
