The Arrecife City Council will deploy between this Thursday, 21st, and Monday 25th, the main day of the San Ginés Festivities, a deployment of 100 personnel to reinforce security and surveillance in the most crowded events of the Sangineles.
The mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, who is also directly responsible for the Local Police, has detailed that, in the Municipal Security Board, the security plans for the entire two weeks of celebration for the festivity of the patron saint of the capital of Lanzarote were approved.
Together with the Local Police of Arrecife, the agents of the National Police (about 50) and members of Civil Protection, a group attached to the Department of Security and Emergencies led by Councilor Kevin Cortés, join.
This great deployment, supported by the video camera system of the Local Police, and the Drone Unit, allows a special operation in Arrecife for the San Ginés patron saint festivities, which with the coordination of the different units will participate in the surveillance to prevent incidents, respond quickly to any alteration and guarantee that the events are held normally, in the tone of the celebration of the capital's festivities.
Fiesta de la Chola, San Ginés Joven, the concerts of Antoñito Molina and Alejandro Fernández, plus the fireworks
This long weekend Arrecife will experience its most crowded events with the celebrations of the Fiesta de la Chola, in the Parque Islas Canarias, and San Ginés Joven, and the concerts of Antoñito Molina and Alejandro Fernández, plus the fireworks, in the surroundings of El Reducto beach, which this year premieres a larger stage located in Punta del Camello, which will surely attract thousands of people to enjoy these performances organized by the Arrecife City Council.
