The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, participated this Wednesday in the inauguration of the 'IV H Congress of Communication and Culture' that has been held for several years in the municipality. He highlighted "the international scope of this meeting, which includes the representation of 94 universities and research centers from 23 countries, the registration of more than 500 people in its online and face-to-face versions and the transfer to Lanzarote of a hundred experts and academics."
The El Fondeadero Civic Center, in Puerto del Carmen, hosted the opening ceremony this Wednesday morning, also starring the Deputy Minister of Communication of the Government of the Canary Islands, Jonathan Domínguez, and the academic co-directors of the event, Gabriela Fabbro and Susana Fernández, who detailed the lines of work, research and conferences related to cinema, advertising, digital ecosystems, photography, digital activism, streaming platforms and migration as a challenge for communication.
The speakers have invited citizens to attend the congress for free until February 24 and, particularly, to the so-called PLAYAS ZONE, a pioneering modality with outdoor communication. You can attend freely and without reservation of tickets on Wednesday afternoon, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This point is located in the Playa Chica area.
