The Tías City Council informs about the works to condition the asphalt surface of a section of Juan Carlos I street comprised between the Biosfera shopping center roundabout and the service station. This work, budgeted at 149,703.24 euros, is financed entirely with municipal own funds.

The council apologizes to all persons and companies that may be affected by this temporary closure of vehicular traffic in the section subject to the works, especially entities related to the transport of passengers and goods.

Municipal officials point out that this action responds to the government group's response to the need for continuous improvement of the municipality's road infrastructure and the reinforcement of safety for both drivers and pedestrians.

The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz Saavedra, thanks residents, merchants, workers, and visitors for their understanding regarding the temporary inconveniences that the works may cause and emphasizes that “a diversion plan has been designed to minimize incidents and guarantee, as far as possible, mobility in the area during the execution of the works”.

The Councilor for Urban Planning, Ulpiano Calero, explains that vehicular traffic wishing to access the old town of La Tiñosa and the Biosfera shopping center area must divert through Togio and Guardilama streets until reaching the shopping center roundabout, while the exit from Puerto del Carmen can be made through Reina Sofía and Salinas streets.

The investment is financed entirely with municipal funds, “which demonstrates the City Council's capacity to continue executing improvement projects that directly impact the quality of life of the citizens and the image of our main tourist hub,” he adds.
