The Tías City Council approved in ordinary plenary session the proposal for endowment through an Urban Environment Action Program (PAMU) in public square, plot and existing unfinished building on Libertad street, Fraternidad corner, with a project of creation of 81 parking spaces, of which the property must cede 24 to the council.
This approval became necessary after the requirements raised by the Órgano Colegiado de Evaluación Ambiental de la Comunidad Autónoma de Canarias to the property, Suministros José Luis Cabrera, concluding that this action has no significant effects on the environment.
The purpose of the PAMU is to establish a provision action on a plot on Libertad street, corner Fraternidad street, in the area of the Municipal Theater of Tías, by virtue of which it will proceed to transfer to the Tías City Council a new provision of open spaces.
This action, on a plot of 744 square meters, will allow to recover the playground and public space, in addition to the creation of a total of 81 parking spaces, 24 of them municipally owned, “very necessary for the commercial and cultural area of the center of Tías”, indicated the mayor, José Juan Cruz.
The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, points out that ““this project not only improves the urban image of the Municipal Theater's surroundings, but also organizes traffic and facilitates access to a key area for the municipality's cultural, commercial, and administrative activity.”
The mayor added that “the transfer of 24 spaces to the City Council represents a direct improvement of the municipal heritage and will allow us to manage part of the parking for the benefit of the general interest”.
