The Tías City Council approves in an ordinary plenary session held telematically the processing of the forced expropriation of a property located on Avenida de las Playas in Puerto del Carmen, in the La Peñita area near the old machine gun nest, which is classified as urban land with the qualification of "free space for public use as a coastal protection zone."
This property, with a real surface area of 1,113.847 square meters, is described as "barren land in La Costa, where they call La Peñita and Llanos de Las Caleras" and is located on the coast, after the Hotel San Antonio in a southerly direction. In this area, the sidewalk has been built, but there are no facilities in front of the plot, only public lighting.
Both the mayor, José Juan Cruz, and the Councilor for Urban Planning, Ulpiano Calero, stressed the relevance of this procedure, which manages to consolidate this section as a free space for public use as a coastal protection zone, so its uses will be exclusively those that facilitate public use and protection of the coast, such as pedestrian and road access, parking and free spaces for public use.
In addition, during the plenary session, the detailed study of Camino Los Lirios was approved, to modify the alignments of the section of Camino Los Lirios and Calle Tajinaste that affect a plot located between Calle Los Lirios, Calle Orquídea and Calle Tajinaste.
The interest represented by this action must be specified, as indicated in the technical report issued, that with the proposed alignment, the problem that would arise from executing the alignments in accordance with the current General Plan is corrected, since the road of Camino Los Lirios would be invaded, making its traffic impossible, as well as the incoherent and unjustified displacement of the layout of Calle Tajinaste executed with another alignment.
Another of the points ratified in the ordinary plenary session was the extrajudicial recognition of credit for an amount of 365,631.42 euros, which will allow the payment of invoices to different suppliers of the City Council.
