The Tías Town Council has published in its notice board the announcement making public the call for a written test to obtain the municipal taxi driver's permit.
The written test will take place on November 21, at 09:00 hours, in the plenary hall of the town hall, will last an hour and a half, and those taking the test must show their identity document and complete the test with a blue or black ink pen.
Interested parties must register before November 14, providing their ID, the general application requesting access to the test, driver's license, the official sealed medical certificate, and the criminal record certificate.
According to the announcement, the exam will consist of ten questions and its content will be based on the Regulations of the municipal taxi service of the municipality of Tías, published in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Las Palmas, number 63, dated May 16, 2014, and its subsequent modifications published in bulletin number 139 of November 6, 2015 and number 51 of April 28, 2017.
It will also include questions about the exact location of municipal facilities, official and cultural centers, institutes, schools, health centers, and hotel and non-hotel establishments.
The Councillor for Urban Public Transportation, Sergio García, emphasizes the importance of this call "to guarantee a quality taxi service fully adapted to the needs of the municipality."
As he explains, "the taxi is an essential public service that contributes to sustainable mobility and the well-being of residents and visitors, so it is essential to ensure that the professionals who provide it are familiar with the environment, the rules, and customer service."
