The Cabildo of Lanzarote has put out to public tender the works to complete the roundabout located on the LZ-30 road, which connects the southern town of Uga with La Geria. "This is an extremely dangerous intersection that has had an unfinished roundabout for more than seven years," they recall from the Corporation.

"Definitely, from the Cabildo we are going to act on this dangerous intersection to finish the roundabout and thus guarantee much safer driving," said the Minister of Public Works, Jacobo Medina.

In this way, the Cabildo will invest more than 200,000 euros with charge to the Canary Islands Development Funds (FDCAN) "in this necessary and demanded work by the residents of the area." "The actions will consist of the construction of a circular roundabout, centered with the axes of the LZ-30 road and with those of the two side streets, with a central island of 25 meters in diameter, a traffic ring of 6 meters and 1 meter shoulders on each side. Likewise, the entry and exit lanes of each road will be separated by islands," explains Medina.

The works will also entail underground channeling for low voltage and irrigation of the garden areas that will beautify this road. The work will be completed with vertical and horizontal signage.

From the Cabildo they inform that the companies interested in this new tender can access all the information, as well as present their respective proposals, until April 13, through the State Contracting Platform.
