The San Bartolomé City Council informs that this week the last phase of the works on Mástil Street, in Playa Honda, will begin, with the resurfacing of the pavement. These works have allowed this road to improve the image of the sidewalks, with the incorporation of green areas and new street furniture, achieving a more attractive aesthetic.
In addition, it has allowed progress in terms of accessibility for pedestrians, with the adaptation of the road to a single platform, and the intervention has been used to replace the domestic water supply network, prior to the resurfacing that will take place during the next few days, which will allow "to prevent and avoid breakages" in the system, the city council has specified.
The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, thanked the residents "for their understanding during the time that the execution of these works has lasted" and highlighted the "commitment" acquired by the Council "to improve the accessibility of the town of Playa Honda, as well as to facilitate pedestrian movement through its different streets."
The actions, which had an execution budget of "940,896 euros" and have been executed by the company Lanzagrava, S.L., have been financed within the Canary Islands Development Funds (FDCAN), with an execution period of 12 months, which has finally been reduced by just over three months.
