The Tourist Centers have completed the drafting of the first Equality Plan in the more than 50 years of the Entity's life. The document will be transferred in the coming days, together with a Diagnostic Report, to the Equality Commission of the Tourist Centers. This body, established two years ago by the Management and the legal representation of the workers, will be responsible for the final approval of the text, reports.
The Equality Plan of the Tourist Centers is based on two documents, a Diagnostic Report and a Salary Audit, which offer "a real and global portrait of the characteristics of the organization; categorize workers; identify the existence of possible inequalities and suggest a series of modifications to advance the gender perspective and eliminate, from the root, any possible vestige of discrimination based on sex or sexual orientation," they add.
"It is a complete document, conceived in a transversal way, which aims to eliminate any form of discrimination, favor the reconciliation of work, family and personal life and co-responsibility between women and men in care tasks," they comment. In addition, "it proposes to progressively integrate the gender perspective in all the processes of the organization and management, as well as the prevention of sexual harassment and harassment based on sex," they make clear.
"Improve the conditions in which daily life is developed within the workplace"
In short, "improve the conditions in which daily life is developed within the workplace", they confirm. "This is, without a doubt, a giant step that the Entity is taking to activate the mechanisms that articulate the role of women in the workplace and reach the levels of equality that a 21st century society demands and requires," they conclude.
