The Tías Local Police managed a total of 7,106 services in the first half of 2025, including 320 summonses to citizens for judicial matters or 173 interventions in traffic accidents, among other services.
The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, thanks and acknowledges, on behalf of the council, "the daily work of our Local Police, which demonstrates its commitment to citizen security and coexistence by managing more than 7,000 services in just six months".
He adds that "our Local Police not only intervenes in traffic or security cases, but is present in many everyday aspects that directly affect the well-being of our neighbors, such as urban incidents, activity control or social interventions".
The Tías Local Police processed 150 public domain files from January to June of this year related to incidents in signage, spills or bad odors in the public highway, incidents in public lighting, street vending and deterioration and damage to urban furniture.
During the same period, 95 actions were taken in urban planning matters, mainly in inspections and in cases of occupation of the public highway; and 100 in cases affecting classified activities, such as inspections of premises and openings, control of closing hours, noise emissions and others.
Regarding proceedings with animals, such as actions with loose animals in the public highway, animal abuse, potentially dangerous animals and nuisances, 99 interventions were made. In turn, cases of Social Services, which are summarized in interventions with homeless people, minors, gender violence and others, totaled 43.
With respect to criminal proceedings, proceedings are initiated against 11 people for alleged crimes against road safety, 9 for cases related to traffic accidents, and 23 for various crimes and misdemeanors.
Finally, in this semester, 332 reports have been filed for traffic accidents.
