The Teguise Market once again breaks visitor records, surpassing 11,000 people who came to La Villa to enjoy both the street market and the Historic Site.
A day that had its carnival touch, with the participation of the Los Cumbacheros and Los Diabletes de Teguise comparsas in a parade through the main streets of the town that caught the attention of everyone present.
The mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, is pleased that "the new normal is also arriving on Sundays in La Villa since the good reception of this market represents an important injection to different tourist sectors of the municipality".
"The fact that so many tourists and locals choose Teguise every Sunday is thanks to the good work of both the market sector and the security forces, the good gastronomic offer, transport; that is, of all the agents involved in its proper functioning," says the Councilor for Markets, Eugenio Robayna.
In addition, Robayna confirms that they are still working "on expanding the Market space" due to the increase in requests from merchants who want to offer their products every Sunday in the Plaza de La Mareta and its surroundings.
