The students of the CEIP Benito Méndez visited this Tuesday the headquarters of the General State Administration, and attended a talk given by agents of the Civil Guard.
Within the activities framed in the 'Open Administration Week', in the presence of students and teachers from various schools on the island, also promoted by the island director of the General State Administration in Lanzarote, Pedro Viera. Some activities that presented the main areas of work and means available to citizens.
“It is important that citizens know the means at their disposal, especially in areas such as security, defense and emergencies,” Viera said.
"The Island Director of the General State Administration in Lanzarote added that the “objective of this initiative developed throughout the State with more than a thousand activities, aims to strengthen the links between public authorities and citizens, highlighting the commitment of our institutions to the development of the values of transparency, accountability and citizen participation.”
The activities will be organized in its seven island headquarters to celebrate the SAA from June 10 to 16 and are based on a coordinated initiative promoted throughout the country by the General Directorate of Public Governance of the Government of Spain and framed in the international Alliance for Open Government that seeks to bring Public Administrations closer to citizens.
