The section of the Ring Road between the San Bartolomé junction and the airport will be closed to carry out work on the Güime overpass.

A section of the LZ-3, between the San Bartolomé link and the airport, will be closed next Thursday due to the duplication works on the Arrecife Ring Road. The cut will be made between 9.30 pm and 6.30 am on Friday, according to the Canary Islands Government. This measure is motivated by the execution of the formwork removal works of the new Güime overpass, located at kilometer point 4+740.

Vehicles traveling on the LZ-2 road and heading north should continue towards Arrecife, and from there towards the Vía Medular, to join the Ring Road at the San Bartolomé link.

As alternative routes, vehicles traveling on the LZ-2 road (Arrecife-Playa Blanca), and heading north, may continue towards Arrecife at the link with the Ring Road (LZ-3), take the Rambla Medular to the roundabout that connects with General García Escámez street, and continue along it to the San Bartolomé link, where they can take the Ring Road again, as explained by the Government of the Canary Islands through a statement.

For its part, vehicles coming from the Ring Road (LZ-3), or from the San Bartolomé road (LZ-20), which are heading towards the LZ-2 road, may leave the Ring Road at the San Bartolomé link, take General García Escámez street to the Rambla Medular, and from there access the LZ-2 road.

The Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Territorial Policy of the Government of the Canary Islands has apologized to motorists for the inconvenience that this cut may cause. In addition, it has asked them to "respect the signs and guidelines of the authorities and personnel responsible for traffic, and plan their trips taking into account this eventuality".
