The second advance confirms low participation, only 23% have voted in Lanzarote

Tinajo and Haría are the municipalities where voting has decreased the most compared to the May 2019 elections

The second participation update confirms the low participation in these elections compared to the European elections of May 2019. Only 24,736 have exercised their right to vote at 5:00 p.m., which represents 23.66% of all voters, almost 11 percent less.

Regarding the municipalities, Haría is where the most people have voted at this time of the afternoon with 27.54%, followed by San Bartolomé with 27.37%, Teguise with 25.26%, Tinajo with 24.84%, Tías with 23.86%, Arrecife with 22.10% and finally, Yaiza where only 20.09% have voted. 

The two municipalities in which participation has decreased the most compared to the previous elections are Tiinajo, which has decreased almost 25%, and Haría with 20% less than in 2019.

Regarding the archipelago as a whole, participation stands at 29.45%, which represents a decrease of more than 10 percent. Throughout Spain, 38.34% of people with the right to vote have already done so, which is 11% less.
