The Councilor for Education of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Ascensión Toledo, has been one of the protagonists of the welcome day that took place this Tuesday. In her speech, Toledo stressed that "we are at a key moment for tourism on our island.

Through innovative academic programs and the comprehensive preparation of our students, Lanzarote continues to bet on quality in the tourism sector. The inaugural day of the Degree in Tourism included the presentation of the EUTL's management team, headed by the director Eva Crespo Fontes, and several workshops focused on the use of digital tools within the university environment. In addition, students shared their experiences of mobility, internships and final degree projects, which served as an example and inspiration for new students.

The event, which took place at the EUTL facilities in Tahíche, also included the presentation of the University Expert Course in Intelligent and Innovative Business Management, by Pedro Calero and Nereida Cañado, aimed at all courses of the Degree in Tourism. This training offer will allow students to specialize in key areas for the future of the sector.

The day concluded with an outdoor integration activity, where students were able to learn more about the EUTL facilities and strengthen cohesion within the group, under the coordination of Professor Juan Antonio Carreño.

With this welcome, the Cabildo of Lanzarote and the EUTL reaffirm their commitment to education and innovation in the tourism sector, preparing to face a new course full of challenges and opportunities.
