The playground located in the square of the capital's neighborhood of San Francisco Javier has become the fourth playground that has opened its doors after undergoing a complete renovation of both the swings and the rubber floor. These works are part of the repair and renovation campaign of the playgrounds in the capital, which is being carried out by the Parks and Gardens area of the Arrecife City Council, led by Jacobo Lemes.
Just as it happened with the one on El Rafael street, the San Francisco Javier playground, open since this Monday, offers "a completely new image", according to the City Council. As Lemes explains, "in some cases only some repairs have been made, but in others, the play areas for the children were practically non-existent".

The works began on March 6 and to date, the Department of Parks and Gardens has already intervened in the José Ramírez Cerdá Park, the Los Leones Park and the one on El Rafael street in the Titerroy neighborhood, and the one located in the San Francisco Javier square.
The next one to open its doors will be the Valterra park, where the workers have already started with the work of replacing the rubber floor that was very deteriorated. "Our objective is to improve each and every one of the children's parks in the capital and that children have that leisure place they deserve, so we are going to continue working in that line", says the mayor who also assures that the Altavista Children's Park "will be a reality soon".
