The Arrecife City Council continues to advance in new works to improve the pavement in the streets of the entire municipality of Arrecife. This week of August, several streets in the neighborhoods of La Vega, the Altavista industrial area (near Lloret) and Argana Alta are being resurfaced.
Yonathan de León has traveled to the area of these works and has asked for the collaboration and understanding of the residents and merchants of those streets while the resurfacing works last.
The capital's first mayor has detailed that in the days prior to the works, the companies awarded the improvements in the streets install fences, with informative posters, where the prohibition of parking vehicles is indicated to allow the entry of machinery and undertake the resurfacing of those streets.
Yonathan de León recalls that with the current 'Municipal Resurfacing Plan' "improvements have been made, in recent weeks, in the neighborhoods of Altavista, Argana Baja and La Destila." Now, during this week, the machines and operators are working in the neighborhoods of La Vega and Argana Alta.
The streets where the pavement improvements are being carried out are: Triana, Dr. Fleming, Paraguay (the three roads in La Vega), and Buero Vallejo and Luján Pérez, both in Argana Alta, which are among the longest streets in this "populous neighborhood." In the Luján Pérez road, one of its sections is being undertaken, the one that connects with Buero Vallejo. These works, which are being carried out this week, were awarded at the end of the last term with the previous mayor Astrid Pérez.
In parallel, since last Monday the awarded companies have carried out works to adapt the new levels of the manholes, and the accesses to the garages existing in these roads.
The mayor has remarked that "new improvements will continue to be made throughout the capital's road network to renew its asphalt pavement during this new municipal term."
