Resurfacing of the road linking Yaiza with El Golfo up for tender for almost 900,000 euros

The initiative includes the complete renovation of the pavement, as well as the vertical and horizontal signs, and containment elements such as guardrails that safeguard the safety of citizens traveling on the road.

The Cabildo of Lanzarote will carry out reinforcement work on the surfaces of the LZ-704 road, which connects the towns of Yaiza and El Golfo. The initiative will improve the comfort of people who use the road, as well as increase road safety and modernize the infrastructure.

This action, with a budget of 898,028 euros, is part of the improvement program for roads of insular and regional interest of the Strategic Line "Investments in Infrastructure," of the Canary Islands Development Fund (FDCAN). It contemplates the total renovation of the pavement, as well as the vertical and horizontal signs, and the containment elements such as guardrails that safeguard the safety of citizens traveling on the road.

The president of the corporation, Oswaldo Betancort, emphasizes that this is one of the roads on the island that is located within the Los Volcanes Natural Park and the protected land areas of the Natura 2000 Network of the Special Conservation Zone. "Reinforcing this road is of vital importance, since many drivers travel it every day," he clarifies.

For her part, the vice president and head of the Planning and Project Coordination area, María Jesús Tovar, explains that resurfacing, renovation, and paving work will be carried out on highways, as well as the installation of containment elements to guarantee their optimal repair.

The execution period for the work is three months. Interested individuals or companies have until October 22 to submit their bids through the following link.
