The PSOE of Teguise conveys its criticism to the municipal government formed by Canarian Coalition (CC), Popular Party (PP) and Vox for "renouncing employment funds" with "984 unemployed" in Teguise. The party criticizes the "staying out" of the call for the 'Alternating Training with Employment Program' (PFAE) of the Canarian Employment Service (SCE) and the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy.
This assessment is made by the socialists after the final resolution of the Directorate of the Canarian Employment Service of the projects approved under this program financed with "51,061,725 euros" was published on December 4.
"Teguise, unfortunately, does not appear among the beneficiary entities that presented a project, despite currently having 984 unemployed people, 396 men and 588 women, residents of the municipality who are waiting for a job opportunity", says Marcos Bergaz, spokesperson for the PSOE.
"However, once again the Teguise government "renounces" to participate in this type of programs that promote the training and employment of people with special difficulties in accessing the labor market, and that can cover areas such as the conservation of the municipality, beach safety, new technologies, care of people, etc", laments the socialist councilor.
The call from the Canarian Employment Service finances each selected project with "340,411.50 euros" and has a duration of eleven months in which training is combined with paid work, allowing the hiring of 15 students, in addition to management, teaching and support staff in charge of the development of each of the projects.
For the socialists, "while other tourist municipalities similar to Teguise such as Tías, San Bartolomé or Yaiza have been awarded 5, 5 and 3 projects respectively, Teguise renounces to obtain financing and develop this type of projects that generate job opportunities. All this, despite the fact that in the previous term we presented an initiative for it to compete in future calls, which was rejected by the Government then single-colored of CC", confirms Bergaz.
"Now, the nationalists together with PP and Vox give another example of the loss of leadership of Teguise, renouncing to participate in these training and employment programs that could benefit the expectations of people currently unemployed in the municipality", adds the socialist leader.
To finish, the PSOE of Teguise announces that it will ask the municipal government about this issue in the plenary session that will take place this Wednesday starting at 9:00 a.m. in the Convent of Santo Domingo, "a plenary to which we invite citizens to attend or follow it through the website Teguise.es", concludes Marcos Bergaz.
