The PSOE of Lanzarote values very positively the results of the recent Regional Congress of the Canarian Socialist Party, which has reinforced the position of the island's officials in the party's management and decision-making bodies, both in the Regional Executive Committee and in the Regional Committee. It also highlights the re-election of Ángel Víctor Torres as general secretary, a leadership that reinforces the socialist project in the Canary Islands and consolidates the vision of a balanced and sustainable development model for the islands.
The PSOE of Lanzarote especially highlights the confidence placed in the representatives of the island, who will occupy important strategic areas within the Regional Executive Committee:
• Carlos Espino Angulo, as Secretary of the Sustainability Area.
• Ariagona González Pérez, as Secretary of Sustainable Development.
• Marlene Romero Machín, as Secretary of Territorial Policy.
• Alfredo Villalba Barreto, as Secretary of Industry.
• Tomás Silvera Cabrera, as Secretary of Statutory Development.
• Jennifer Galán Duarte, as Secretary of Commerce.
On the other hand, Lanzarote will also have a prominent representation in the Regional Committee, with the presence of:
• Begoña Hernández Nóbrega.
• Robson Vidal.
• Natacha Duque Torres.
• Nieves Rosa Hernández Gorrín.
• Omar Jesús Lemes Méndez.
Substitute: Ángela Cañaveras Jiménez.
The island secretary of the PSOE of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, has stressed that this representation is the result of the collective effort and commitment of the party on the island to provide leadership and experience to the socialist project in the Canary Islands. "We are convinced that this team will know how to firmly defend the interests of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, while contributing to the strengthening of our policies throughout the autonomous community," said Corujo.
The PSOE of Lanzarote also highlights the relevance of the assigned areas, such as sustainability, territorial policy, industry and commerce, which are key to the balanced progress of the islands and to face the challenges of the future with vision and responsibility.
