The PSOE of Arrecife brings to the plenary session complaints from the residents of San Francisco Javier and La Vega

The socialists of Arrecife will bring to the next municipal plenary several complaints and concerns of residents of the city, in relation to works and infrastructures in the neighborhoods.

One of the issues has to do with the installation of the new roof of the socio-cultural center of San Francisco Javier, whose serious state of deterioration forced users to demand its replacement. According to the socialists, "instead of respecting the initial project of a wooden roof, for which columns were placed in the courtyard, the City Council has placed an industrial warehouse roof that will affect the acoustics of the hall and future activities and that implies an increase in expenses".

According to the spokesperson for the PSOE, Víctor Betancort, "the socialist municipal group will be interested in the completion date of the work, the changes to the project and its consequences on the initial budget".

Another issue that the socialists will raise before the plenary will be the revision of the Neighborhood Plan, designed in 2008 and whose usefulness or design, in the opinion of the socialists, "may have lost validity for the current residents".

The motion refers specifically to the execution of the aforementioned Neighborhood Plan in La Vega, "where sidewalks of up to three meters wide and the consequent reduction of roads generate problems for the passage of the garbage truck and have limited the space for parking", explains Betancort.

The socialists will also ask the plenary of the Arrecife City Council for a solution to the building on Franco Street, closed for more than a year due to the detachment of elements from the facade "and which continues with provisional fences, preventing pedestrians from circulating normally".
