The Socialist Group of the Cabildo of Lanzarote has denounced that Oswaldo Betancort refuses to pay the procedures to finish the delivery of the houses of Valterra, and thus comply with the obligation acquired by the Cabildo that, after receiving the donation from the Social Institute of the Navy of the known as Valterra houses, has to put in place the necessary procedures to transfer the mentioned houses to their legitimate owners.
In this sense, the Socialist Group has presented an amendment so that the Cabildo enables a partida to pay the professional fees generated by the compilation and custody of the documentation accrediting the real ownership, which was rejected by the government group.
“The deeds signed by María Dolores Corujo, accepting the donation, were entered in this Cabildo a few days after the inauguration of Oswaldo Betancort and now it is up to the Cabildo to act diligently to put an end to a situation that has been very hard for the affected families. It is essential to provide economic assistance after all the years of uncertainty and fear and it is unworthy that the President of the Cabildo refuses to provide this assistance, generating even more grievances to so many families”, González pointed out.
