The PSOE of Lanzarote criticizes the attitude of Oswaldo Betancort for "preventing the price of fuel from being lowered on the island," they comment. "The islands of El Hierro, La Palma and La Gomera will have the cheapest fuel, but not Lanzarote, because Oswaldo Bentancort voted against it," they recall.
That is why the PSOE denounces that "Betancort systematically boycotts the fuel bonus to Lanzarote and Fuerteventura." And the deputy of the Canarian Coalition even copied and pasted the non-Law proposal of the PSOE that intends to subsidize fuel on our island, leaving out the provision that allows the bonus to be applied from today," he adds.
"The PSOE has proposed that the aid given to the so-called green islands be equated with those of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Instead, the Canarian Coalition is asking for reports to be made now, even a Price Observatory, as if the president of Lanzarote did not know how much the people of Lanzarote pay for fuel. "All to delay and entangle and get their own island not to benefit from something that rightfully belongs to it," the socialists have pointed out.
"It should be remembered, as an example, that as of today the average price of diesel in La Palma is similar to that of Fuerteventura, and that in La Palma they will be helped and Lanzarote and Fuerteventura will not," they claim.
Oswaldo Betancort and "the ridicule of those who do not work"
From the PSOE in Parliament, Betancort's "lack of shame in copying and pasting the work of the socialist deputies" was recalled, "without even updating the price table." "Being a proposition from a few years ago, the one that Oswaldo copies from the socialists, has the prices of then and not those for today. In this way, the nationalist copied the PNL of the PSOE to later replace the provision that forced the price of gasoline on the island to be subsidized, and change it for a lot of absurd entanglements, and presume how it harms all the citizens of this island."
Finally, "it is especially painful that the deputy and President of the Cabildo of Lanzarote congratulates the deputies and governors of El Hierro, La Palma and La Gomera, for getting the fuel reduction for their islands, while boycotting a similar aid for their own island."
"From the PSOE we ask Betancort not to act as President and deputy for Lanzarote as he did as mayor, promising, lying, and systematically worsening everything he manages," they conclude.
