The Lanzarote socialist candidates for Congress and Senate, Ariagona González and Manuel Fajardo, toured the Arrecife neighborhoods of Argana Alta, Valterra and Los Alonso this Monday of the campaign, where they took advantage of the mailings and distribution of propaganda to meet with the neighbors, exchange impressions and gather citizen concerns in these upcoming general elections.
According to the candidate for the Congress of Deputies, Ariagona González, the citizens of Lanzarote, far from feeling disaffection for politics, are "an example of involvement" in the call to the polls. "People do not forget what it has cost us to be able to get elections and the mere fact of voting is more transcendent than putting a ballot in a ballot box," she said.
For his part, the candidate for the Senate, Manuel Fajardo Palarea, recalled the importance of votes being able to lead to a strong socialist government. "Spain faces important challenges for the future that can only be addressed from a perspective of progress and we cannot stay at home if we want people to be at the center of the politics of the next government," he said.
In addition, both candidates held a meeting with the Association of Oncohematological Families of Lanzarote (AFOL), where they exchanged impressions with its president, Carmen Arrocha, and explained the measures that the PSOE includes in its program regarding Public Health, in addition to collecting the concerns and suggestions of the association.
