The Insular Committee of the PSOE has approved this Saturday the list that it will present to the next elections to the Cabildo of Lanzarote, and in which none of the councilors who have been in this legislature in the institution will repeat. The list, which has been supported by only 62 percent of the Committee, includes new faces, but also public officials who are currently councilors in other municipalities.

For the second position, just behind José Juan Cruz Saavedra, the party has opted for a young candidate who has not held positions until now: Ariagona González Pérez. The third position is for Marcos Bergaz, who in the past legislature was a councilor in the Arrecife City Council, although he did not complete the mandate. In this legislature, Bergaz has worked in the Cabildo, hand in hand with the PSOE and Joaquín Caraballo, as insular director of Transport, Employment, Data Center and European Affairs, although this week he ceased in office after the rupture of the pact with CC.

The fourth position on the list is occupied by Lucía Olga Tejera, who comes from the educational field, as director of the IES Tinajo. After her, in the fifth and sixth position, are two active councilors in different municipalities. First, the councilor of San Bartolomé Andrés Stinga. Next, the councilor of Teguise Lourdes Cabrera.

The list is completed by Tomas Carmelo Silvera, Idaira Berriel, Alberto Guervara, Elena Alejandra López, Juan Carlos Raírez, Juana Santa Cruz Socas, Francisco Hernández Betancort, María Dolores Milán, Santiago Aristu, María Rosario González, Yeray Méndez, Agueda Muñoz, José Francisco Pérez, Penélope Morales, Pablo Eugenio Reyes, Lourdes Bernal and Miguel Merino.

Green light to the municipal lists

The Insular Committee of the PSOE of Lanzarote has also given the green light this Saturday to the municipal lists proposed by the local groups. The highest insular body of the party took note of the proposals made in the municipalities of more than 20,000 inhabitants, Arrecife and Teguise, and gave its approval to the lists proposed by the rest of the municipalities.

San Bartolomé and Haría received the unanimous approval of the Insular Committee, while Tías obtained 96 percent support for its list and Tinajo 78 percent.
