The Popular Party of Yaiza will defend in the municipal plenary session to be held next Tuesday two motions proposing the creation of new facilities related to health and sports.
In the first of them, the Populars urge the Government of Óscar Noda to study the technical and budgetary feasibility of creating a multi-sport court in the current court of Avenida de Pechiguera, in front of the Viviendas Yaiza urbanization.
As explained by the municipal spokesperson, Juan Monzón, it is a space where there is already a completely deteriorated soccer field and a playground with rofe soil. “What we are proposing is the recovery of the area with this type of facilities that allow the practice of various sports, such as soccer, basketball, handball or volleyball.”
Monzón emphasizes that this type of courts are designed with resistant materials, easy to maintain and can be placed in squares, parks or any other land. “Our objective is that the feasibility of its installation in other population centers that currently do not have adequate sports equipment is also studied,” he adds.
In the second of the initiatives that the Popular Party will take to the plenary session, the creation of a bio-healthy park is proposed on the Faro Pechigera maritime avenue, specifically, in the area that is already equipped with pergolas and that is easily accessible and frequently used by citizens. “We believe that it is the ideal place to locate this type of equipment that will complement the physical exercise carried out by people who use the avenue to run or walk,” he emphasizes.
