The PP of Lanzarote defends that “their party is the answer” for the European elections on June 9, as they have emphasized in the event held this Thursday as the beginning of the campaign. An event in which the island president, Astrid Pérez, made a "call to all center-right voters to vote for the Popular Party as the only possible way to stop Sánchez." In this sense, she stressed that "these elections are played in Europe and it is a fundamentally game of majority parties where the options are reduced to two, either vote for Sanchismo or vote for the Popular Party, which also guarantees that the Canary Islands are in the center of Europe."

The leader of the PP explained that in these elections CC "presents itself as number two of the Basque Nationalist Party and it is mathematically impossible therefore that it can reach the European Parliament", with which "what happened five years ago will be repeated, that the votes of CC will serve so that there is an MEP from the PNV who not only has not been heard speaking about the Canary Islands, but has even voted against the interests of the Canarians," she recalled.

The "importance of the useful vote" will be one of the messages that the Populars will convey to the citizens of Lanzarote and La Graciosa during this campaign together with the dissemination of the most outstanding aspects of the electoral program.

During the initial campaign event, in which the general secretary, Jacobo Medina, the mayor of Arrecife Yonathan de León, the local presidents, as well as the rest of the public and organic positions of the party, participated, it was insisted that these elections are an "opportunity for the voice of the Canary Islands to continue to be heard in the community institutions" and to do so also with a "voice of its own", as the Canarian MEP Gabriel Mato has been "doing, who is also supported by a large and strong group such as the European Popular Party, which has 177 seats."

In addition, the Popular Party has started the electoral campaign for the European Elections on June 9, claiming the vote for the PP as a "clear and resounding answer" from all those citizens who "feel deceived by the Sánchez Government and who believe that Spain cannot be held hostage or sold for 7 votes." A message that the Lanzarote Populars also shared.
