The Platform of the Municipality of Haría (PMH) has proposed this Friday, May 19, to apply artificial intelligence in the City Council of Haría to improve "personalized attention to the people of Haría."
"The main objective of this measure is to automate those procedures that are more mechanical, thus freeing up municipal personnel for other tasks that require direct attention to citizens," said the candidate for mayor of the PMH, Evelia García.
With this, "it would be possible to speed up bureaucratic procedures and bring the local administration closer to the residents of Haría," she acknowledges.
"Although the use of this technology has not been regulated, it has already been proven in some administrations that it is effective, and that it facilitates procedures for citizens," reiterated Evelia García, who has pledged to "apply it if the Platform of the Municipality of Haría governs from May 28 onwards."
In addition, "artificial intelligence is not a substitute for human beings, as officials and staff will continue to be the center of attention for residents." However, "this technology will only help to improve attention," García said.
