The Councilor for Cemeteries of the Arrecife City Council, Jacobo Lemes, has announced that, on the occasion of the All Saints' Day, the San Román cemetery will extend its usual hours.
On October 30 and 31 and November 1, the doors of the municipal cemetery will remain open uninterruptedly from 08:00 to 20:00 hours, to facilitate access to those who wish to visit and pay tribute to their loved ones.
The All Saints' Day will also feature a Solemn Mass and the Celebration of the Eucharist, which will take place on November 1 at 17:00 hours.
Jacobo Lemes has highlighted that in recent weeks work has been carried out to clean, paint and beautify the site.
“We want everything to be in perfect condition for such a significant date as All Saints' Day. It is a very important moment for all those people who come to pay their respects and remember their loved ones, and from the Arrecife City Council we have put all our effort into offering a dignified and welcoming space”, explained Lemes.
For his part, the Councilor for Transport and Mobility, Mario González Altube, has detailed that at this time of year the Arrecife City Council reinforces the buses to the Municipal Cemetery with special schedules.
To this end, the councilor responsible for the Urban Buses of Arrecife emphasizes, routes are established every hour, in the afternoon of October 31, between 14:00 and 20:00 hours, and throughout the All Saints' Day, November 1, between 9:00 and 19:00 hours.
